Tegucigalpa, January 8 (Xinhua) — Honduran National Congress member Gladys Aurora Lopez was injured in an explosion near the parliament building here on Thursday, several media outlets reported.
The incident occurred while lawmakers from the opposition National Party were making press statements outside the Congress building. An explosive device was thrown in their direction, striking G.A. Lopez in the head and detonating.
