Beijing, January 9 (Xinhua) — The first China-Europe freight train of 2026 departed from the international land port of Ganzhou in East China's Jiangxi Province. It carried clothing, confectionery, and household goods worth a total of $3.67 million. The train will cross the border at Ereenhot in North China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and arrive in Russia.

According to the Jiangxi Daily, the Ganzhou International Land Port has already launched a large international logistics network connecting Ganzhou with 100 cities in over 20 countries across the Eurasian continent. Trains depart from Ganzhou and cross the border through checkpoints such as Manzhouli (Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, North China), Alashankou (Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, Northwest China), Horgos (Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, Northwest China), and Ereenhot.

By the end of 2025, the number of China-Europe train departures in Ganzhou had exceeded 1,700. The range of goods transported by rail has expanded from daily necessities such as ceramic tableware and children's toys to cross-border e-commerce products, fresh food for cold chains, NEVs, and other diverse categories. The China-Europe freight train has become an important driving force for promoting regional industrial upgrading and high-quality development of Jiangxi Province's foreign trade. -0-
