Los Angeles, January 8 (Xinhua) — Two people were killed and six others injured in a shooting Wednesday evening outside a church in Salt Lake City, Utah, local media reported.
"The situation is still very fluid," KSL News reported, citing Glen Mills, public information officer for the Salt Lake City Police Department. "We are currently aware of at least eight victims. I can confirm that two have died, three are in critical condition, and the condition of three others is unknown."
Reports of gunfire came in around 7:36 p.m. local time (2:36 a.m. GMT Thursday) after a fight broke out in the parking lot of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The incident occurred during a funeral.
