Geneva, January 6 (Xinhua) — The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights is deeply concerned about the situation in Venezuela following the US military operation in the country, Ravina Shamdasani, spokesperson for the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), said on Tuesday.
Speaking at a regular briefing in Geneva, R. Shamdasani said the High Commissioner believes that the US actions undermine the fundamental principle of international law that no state shall threaten or use force against the territorial integrity or political independence of another state. –0–
