BEIJING, January 4 (Xinhua) — China recorded more than 6.61 million inbound and outbound passenger trips during the three-day New Year holiday that ended Saturday, according to data released Sunday by the National Immigration Administration.
According to the department, during these days, an average of more than 2.2 million inbound and outbound trips were made in the country daily, which is 28.6 percent more than the same period last year.
In particular, during the reporting period, the number of inbound and outbound trips made by foreigners increased by 29.8 percent year-on-year to 828,000 person-times. And the number of foreigners entering China visa-free increased by 35.8 percent to 292,000 person-times. -0-
