WASHINGTON, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) — U.S. President Donald Trump said Saturday that the United States would "manage" Venezuela after American forces raided the country and captured its President Nicolas Maduro.
“We will govern this country until we can achieve a safe, orderly, and reasonable transition of power,” Trump said at a press conference at his Mar-a-Lago estate in the US state of Florida.
"We don't want anyone else to come to power, and we're in the same situation we've been in for the last many years. So we're going to run the country ourselves," the US president added.
