SEOUL, January 2 (Xinhua) — About 122 people were evacuated after smoke was reported on board a domestic flight from Jeju to Pohang in South Korea, Newsis News reported on Friday.

The incident occurred on board Jin Air flight LJ436, scheduled to operate from Jeju to Pohang, at approximately 12:25 PM local time. It was determined that smoke entered the aircraft as passengers were boarding.

Jin Air conducted an investigation after the evacuation of passengers and crew. It was reported that there was a malfunction in the auxiliary power unit (APU) system.
