BEIJING, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) — An article by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on studying and implementing the spirit of the decisions of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee will be published on January 1.
The article by Xi Jinping, also the President of the People's Republic of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, will appear in the first issue of Qiushi, the leading journal of the CPC Central Committee, for 2026.
The article notes that the proposals of the CPC Central Committee on the development of the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development adopted at the plenary session serve as a programmatic document defining the course of socio-economic development for the next five-year period (2026-2030).
As the article points out, properly studying and consistently implementing the spirit of the plenary session's decisions are important political tasks for the entire Party and the entire country in the current and coming periods.
Noting the need to ensure the comprehensive implementation of the spirit of the decisions of the past plenary session, the article calls for special attention to the following aspects: steadily promoting high-quality development, accelerating the formation of a new development architecture, firmly advancing the path to common prosperity for all the people, better coordinating development and security, and harmoniously advancing work in all areas.
The article also emphasizes the importance of consistently promoting comprehensive and strict intra-Party governance and maintaining a firm stance in the relentless fight against corruption. –0–
