BEIJING, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) — Relations between China and other countries have developed in a more positive direction, and China's international influence, leadership in new endeavors, and moral appeal have increased significantly in 2025, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Tuesday.
Wang Yi, also a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, made the announcement while speaking at a symposium on the international situation and Chinese diplomacy in 2025.
According to the head of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, this year, China, under the strong leadership of the CPC Central Committee, with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, has held high the banner of building a community with a shared future for mankind, followed the strategic guidance of the diplomacy of heads of state, united progressive forces around the world with the utmost sincerity, and made every effort to unite the energy of peace and development.

Looking to the future, Wang Yi pointed out that great power diplomacy with Chinese characteristics should achieve even greater achievements in 2026.
He assured that China will provide even more significant strategic support for national development and national revival, pave the way for a more effective formation of a new model of relations between major powers, work more actively to build a community of shared destiny with neighboring countries, and unite more impressive forces to jointly advance the modernization of countries in the Global South.
Wang Yi added that China will inject greater impetus into global openness and cooperation, make greater contributions to reforming and improving global governance, and demonstrate an even stronger sense of mission and responsibility in safeguarding national interests.
