NANJING, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) — The People's Liberation Army's Eastern Zone Combat Command (PLA ECCC) deployed destroyers, frigates, fighter jets and bombers to conduct drills in the waters and airspace east of Taiwan on Monday, the ECCC said.
Through exercises focusing on attacking maritime targets, establishing control over regional airspace, as well as submarine hunting and anti-submarine operations, the troops' capabilities in coordinating maritime and air force actions and accurately identifying and engaging targets were tested, the PLA's WBC added. -0-
