NANJING, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) — The People's Liberation Army's Eastern Zone Combat Command (PLA ECCC) sent bombers to the east of Taiwan Island on Monday to conduct long-range maritime patrols to check the combat readiness of its troops, ECCC spokesman Shi Yi said.
