Vladivostok, December 29 (Xinhua) — The Soyuz-2.1b rocket with the Fregat upper stage launched 52 satellites into orbit from the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia's Amur Region. Roscosmos announced this on its official Telegram channel on Monday.
The Soyuz 2.1b launch vehicle launched on December 28 at 4:18 PM Moscow time. The total time it took to launch the satellites into orbit was five hours.
The satellites are intended, among other things, for remote sensing of the Earth, studying electromagnetic radiation and monitoring shipping in the World Ocean. –0–
