Paris, December 26 (Xinhua) — French police on Friday detained a suspect after three women were injured in separate knife attacks at Line 3 metro stations in Paris, local media reported.

According to the daily newspaper Le Parisien, citing police sources, all three victims suffered minor injuries and were taken to medical facilities, where they received the necessary assistance.

The suspect, described as a man born in Mali, fled after the attacks on a different metro line but was later apprehended at his home. Police sources cited by Le Parisien noted that a terrorist motive has been ruled out.
