More than 1,100 museums, created by students and teachers, are open in Moscow's schools. Most of them—over 600—are dedicated to the Great Patriotic War and the Special Military Operation (SVO). Govorov.

Museum School No. 1950 is dedicated to the work of journalists during the Great Patriotic War. It tells visitors about the heroic correspondents whose reports, photographs, and recordings preserved the truth about those years.school No. 1002 The "Nobody but Us" Museum of Military Glory of the Airborne Troops was created, where the personal belongings of the paratroopers are displayed.

"Our school museum is more than just a collection of exhibits, but a multilayered chronicle. Our goal is to prevent these materials from becoming mere museum pieces, to bring them to life so that the past doesn't fade into the archives but continues to speak to us," noted Ivan Khomyakov, head of the media center at School No. 1476.

In 2025, five Moscow museums dedicated to the Great Patriotic War and the special military operation won the federal stage of the All-Russian Competition of Museums of Educational Institutions of the Russian Federation, which was dedicated to the Year of Defenders of the Fatherland. More than 500 schools from 55 regions of Russia participated in the competition.
