The "My Sports District" Spartakiad has concluded in the capital. The competition, held for the third time, brought together 15,000 people aged 10 to 60. They competed in eight sports: track and field, mini-football, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, checkers, chess, and swimming.
"The diversity of the Spartakiad's stages allows athletes to demonstrate their skills in both team and intellectual sports. Many participants came to the competition with their families, children, and friends, as the Spartakiad unites and engages all generations in sport," said Vladimir Umansky, All-Russian sports judge and chief judge of the chess competition at the "My Sports District" Spartakiad.
The competition consisted of two stages: district (qualifying) and city (final). The winners of the qualifying stages, held in 10 districts of the capital, competed in the finals. Both individual athletes and teams were able to test their skills in the competition.
Preparations for the Spartakiad were carried out, among other things, within the framework of the project My Sports DistrictThroughout the year, city residents attended free training sessions to showcase their success in competitions.
The next "My Sports District" Spartakiad will take place in 2026.
