Beijing, December 23 (Xinhua) — According to data from the Dulat checkpoint in the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture of Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (XUAR), as of December 20, passenger traffic through this checkpoint has exceeded 150,000 people this year, a 50.48 percent increase compared to the same period last year. The number of vehicles inspected exceeded 93,000, a 64.5 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Passenger and cargo traffic through this checkpoint continues to steadily increase, local media in the Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture reported.

Located on the border between China and Kazakhstan, the Dulata checkpoint is an important hub connecting Central Asia and exerting influence on the Eurasian space. As China's "visa-free zone" continues to expand and checkpoint infrastructure improves, the Dulata checkpoint is gradually becoming a popular destination for entrepreneurship and family visits for citizens of China and Kazakhstan.

"This time, customs clearance at the Dulata checkpoint was smooth and efficient, and the service was attentive. I'm very excited about this trip," shared passenger Wang Jianhua.

In response to the new normal of port operations, characterized by large-scale and rapid import and export, the Dulata Port Authority is continuously upgrading and modernizing inspection facilities, introducing intelligent equipment, and actively coordinating with relevant agencies to improve customs clearance conditions, thereby strengthening the foundation for simplified customs clearance. At the same time, the port has introduced a number of measures aimed at improving the situation for both the public and businesses, including expedited channels for agricultural products, pre-registration for business employees, and special "green corridors" for special groups. These initiatives have gradually improved the quality of customs clearance and increased traveler satisfaction.
