BEIJING, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) — China firmly opposes the United States exaggerating the concept of national security and making discriminatory lists to unreasonably exert pressure on Chinese companies, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Tuesday.
The Chinese diplomat responded to journalists' inquiries at a regular departmental press conference about the US Federal Communications Commission's announcement on Monday that it was adding the Chinese company DJI to a list of companies that pose an unacceptable risk to US national security and prohibiting the issuance of permits for the import or sale of new types of drones to the company in the US.
The US side must correct its mistakes and ensure a fair, just, and non-discriminatory environment for Chinese enterprises, a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman emphasized. -0-
