In Moscow, as part of the All-Russian Congress on Youth Policy and Educational Activities, Rosatom's flagship universities were awarded for the best organization of their university program commemorating the 80th anniversary of the nuclear industry. The final stage was the "Atomic Fusion" competition. Following this, the winners in the "Rosatom Key Universities" category were: National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, National Research Tomsk Polytechnic University, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, ETU "LETI" named after V.I. Ulyanov, and SevSU.
Throughout the year, the nuclear industry's anniversary was integrated into the educational, scientific, and extracurricular activities of universities across the country. A large-scale university program was developed, uniting the nuclear industry, the higher education system, and youth communities. More than 2,000 events were organized across the country, including 632 technical tours of industry facilities, 1,045 meetings between students and executives and specialists, scientific conferences, "Atom Week," the "Era of Dreamers" celebratory show, "World Atomic Week," the AtomFest industry festival, job fairs, intellectual competitions, lectures, film screenings, and city and family events. The university program brought together 109 Russian universities, engaging over 215,000 students in lively interactions, and reaching over 15 million people.
Russian universities have become a space where students gain knowledge about the development and achievements of the nuclear industry, as well as career prospects at Rosatom enterprises. This result was made possible through the systematic collaboration between Rosatom State Corporation, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and the university community.
The "Atomic Fusion" competition was established to recognize contributions to the university's program and systematic work on developing human resources. The project aims to engage students, faculty, and university staff in the 80th anniversary of the nuclear industry and strengthen industry partnerships. University teams presented their programs, and the best were recognized at the All-Russian Congress on Youth Policy and Educational Activities.
Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Olga Petrova and Director General of the Rosatom Corporate Academy Yulia Uzhakina presented awards to the universities that made the greatest contribution to the celebration of the nuclear industry's anniversary year and the development of Rosatom's human resources.

The 80th anniversary of the nuclear industry is a major national holiday. We held a number of events, with a special focus on young people. After all, it is they who will develop the projects we are launching today and create new ones. Together with the Russian Ministry of Education and Science, we organized a large-scale university program. Its goal was to engage students, share with them a sense of pride in the achievements of science and technology, and look back on the nuclear industry's journey. Particularly popular among participants were technical tours of enterprises, with around 700 of them taking place," said Yulia Uzhakina, General Director of the Rosatom Corporate Academy.

At Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, with the participation of Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev and financial support from Rosenergoatom, a renovated Hydromechanical Engineering Laboratory was opened. Overall, the university implemented 45 major university program events.
The winners will also have the opportunity to participate in the AtomDiscovery scientific and educational program in 2026. The program includes a tour of nuclear cities, visits to nuclear power plants, and visits to nuclear industry production sites.
