BEIJING, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) — The Xinhua Center, a national think tank, on Monday released a new book titled "Ideological Colonization" in Chinese and English at the 36th Xinhua News Agency-hosted journalism academic conference.
The book, published by Xinhua, includes two analytical reports: “Ideological Colonization: Methods, Origins, and International Dangers of US Cognitive Warfare” and “US Military Hegemony: Origins, Facts, and Dangers.”
The report on American ideological colonization reveals how the United States has long eroded the sovereignty of other countries through ideological infiltration, undermining fairness in international perceptions. The report was first presented on September 7 of this year at the High-Level Forum of Media and Think Tanks of the Global South.
The report on US military hegemony examines the ideological roots, instruments, and practices of American military hegemony, as well as the damage Washington has inflicted on global security and stability. The report was first published on September 5, 2023, and was subsequently revised to reflect recent developments before being included in a recently published book.
Since their publication, the reports have played a significant role in building consensus among countries in the Global South on the pursuit of independent development and liberation from hegemonic constraints, according to experts attending a scientific conference on Monday. –0–
