BEIJING, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) — Chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC) Xi Jinping on Monday presented two PLA officers with certificates promoting them to the rank of colonel general.
The officers who were awarded this title this time were Commander of the PLA Eastern Zone Combat Command Yang Zhibin and Commander of the PLA Central Zone Combat Command Han Shengyan.
CMC Vice Chairman Zhang Youxia read out the decree conferring military ranks, which was signed by Xi Jinping. CMC Vice Chairman Zhang Shengmin presided over the ceremony.
Xi Jinping expressed his congratulations to the two officers.
