BEIJING, December 22 (Xinhua) — The Dutch government must immediately revoke its order against semiconductor manufacturer Nexperia, an overseas subsidiary of Chinese company Wingtech, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce announced on Monday.
The agency's official representative noted that the situation surrounding Nexperia was caused by the Dutch government's improper administrative interference in the company's operations and called for the relevant order to be immediately rescinded.
A representative of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce called on the Dutch side to create favorable conditions for consultations between relevant companies and promote the restoration of the security and stability of global semiconductor supply chains.
The ministry added that the Chinese government has already taken specific measures to provide exemptions for eligible exports intended for civilian use, creating the necessary conditions for the stability and smooth functioning of the semiconductor supply chain.
