BEIJING, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) — China's telecom industry saw stable growth from January to November this year, official data showed Monday.

The industry's total revenue approached 1.61 trillion yuan (about $228 billion), up 0.9 percent year-on-year, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology reported.

5G technology in China continued its steady development. As of the end of November, 4.83 million 5G base stations had been deployed in the country, and the number of 5G mobile subscribers reached 1.19 billion, accounting for 65.3% of the total number of mobile subscribers.

Mobile internet traffic maintained relatively high growth rates, and construction of network infrastructure, including 5G networks, gigabit optical networks, and Internet of Things infrastructure, progressed steadily, the ministry noted. -0-
