HAIKOU, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) — Passenger flight DV481 took off from Sanya Fenghuang International Airport in south China's Hainan Province at 8:05 a.m. Sunday, bound for Prague, capital of the Czech Republic, marking the opening of Hainan Free Trade Port's first Seventh Freedom Air Route.

The 7th freedom of the air, or 7th degree of freedom of the air, refers to the right to fly between two foreign countries without landing in one's own country. Flights on this route are operated neither by Chinese nor Czech carriers, but by the Kazakhstani airline SCAT Airlines.

Flights are scheduled once a week. Departure from Sanya on Sundays at 8:05 AM Beijing Time, arriving in Prague at 10:20 PM the same day. Flights departing Prague at 11:50 PM on Sundays land in Sanya at 12:30 PM Beijing Time the following day.

On Monday, Sanya Airport welcomed the first 115 passengers from the Czech Republic who arrived on a return flight. -0-
