Recently, the birthplace of the football phenomenon "Cunchao" – Rongjiang County, Guizhou Province – proposed an initiative to establish a national alliance for county-level industry development based on this project, in collaboration with 100 cities across the country.

Since the phenomenal success of "Qunchao" in 2023, Rongjiang County has welcomed over 23 million tourists, with total tourism revenue exceeding 27 billion yuan. This has created jobs and increased incomes for over 12,000 people directly in their communities. Rural collective income reached 121 million yuan in 2024.

The Guizhou University's "Guizhou Cunchao Development Report (2025)" released on December 3rd indicates that the broad grassroots football foundation, rich local culture, growing e-commerce industry, and consistent work on building county-level brands have jointly given rise to the phenomenon of "Cunchao" and created a new model of distinctive rural development.

Guizhou University Party Secretary Yang Wei noted that with the arrival of guesthouses, catering, cultural businesses, logistics, and digital services in villages, the fruits of comprehensive development are becoming both jobs and real income for local residents—right where they live.

Thanks to this, development achievements are directly transformed into increased well-being, and the population’s sense of fulfillment and happiness becomes increasingly complete and sustainable.

By 2027, Guizhou Province plans to establish 10 events (competitions) with international influence and 10 projects that embody the features of integrating culture, tourism and sports.
