San Francisco, December 19 (Xinhua) — The suspect in last week's mass shooting at Brown University has been found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Fox News reported Thursday.

Citing two law enforcement sources, CBS News reported on Thursday that an arrest warrant had been issued for the suspect in the December 13 shooting at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. The incident left two students dead and nine others injured.

Law enforcement officials are investigating a possible connection between the Brown University shooting and the murder of MIT nuclear physics professor Nuno Loureiro, sources said.

The 47-year-old scientist died in hospital on Tuesday from gunshot wounds he received Monday at his home in Brookline, Massachusetts. –0–
