The XVI Moscow Christmas Festival of Sacred Music will be held in the capital from January 14 to 23, 2026, as part of the project Winter in MoscowArtistic director is violinist, conductor, and People's Artist of the USSR Vladimir Spivakov. Events supported by the capital Department of Culture will take place on the stages of the Moscow International House of Music.
Six performances featuring outstanding musical ensembles and performers have been prepared for the audience. Among them are Vladimir Spivakov, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, the Kuban Cossack Choir, the Sretensky Monastery Choir, the V.S. Popov Children's Choir, the "Masters of Choral Singing" Academic Grand Choir, the Musica Viva Moscow Chamber Orchestra, and the A.V. Sveshnikov State Academic Russian Choir.
On January 14, the E.F. Svetlanov Hall will host a performance Kuban Cossack Choir Under the direction of Viktor Zakharchenko, this professional ensemble has been continuously performing since the early 19th century. 200 performers will take to the stage. The repertoire includes folk and original songs, as well as compositions from the archive of the Military Choir.

The program will also include the composer's symphonies.
The festival will end concertThe concert, which will take place on January 23, will feature Vladimir Spivakov, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, the "Masters of Choral Singing" Academic Grand Choir, and world opera stars Anna Aglatova (soprano), Polina Shamaeva (mezzo-soprano), Alexey Neklyudov (tenor), and Igor Podoplelov (baritone). The performance will include Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's famous composition "Requiem." The performance is timed to coincide with the 270th anniversary of the great composer's birth. The concert will take place in the E.F. Svetlanov Hall.
