BEIJING, December 18 (Xinhua) — Chinese Assistant Foreign Minister Liu Bin and Ukrainian First Deputy Foreign Minister Serhiy Kyslytsya held political consultations between the foreign ministries of China and Ukraine in Beijing on Thursday.
Liu Bin noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Ukraine, friendship and cooperation have always been the defining feature of bilateral ties.
Guided by the principles of mutual respect and trust, mutual understanding and consideration of each other's interests, mutual benefit and advantage, the parties have achieved fruitful cooperation in such areas as economics and trade, agriculture, science and technology, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges, Liu Bin stated.
He stated that China is ready to work with Ukraine to implement the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries, promoting the stable and sustainable development of bilateral relations.
S. Kyslytsya, in turn, stated that Ukraine attaches great importance to relations with the PRC, adheres to the one-China principle, and is ready to further deepen exchanges and cooperation in various areas to facilitate further progress in Ukrainian-Chinese relations.
