Moscow investor Vadim, seeking love, goes to work at a metallurgical plant to impress his girlfriend's father, the foreman. But combining smelting and deals doesn't work out. One mistake—someone else's money is lost, and bandits are on Vadim's trail.

The series was filmed on the workshop floor of a working Ural plant. Operations never stopped, and the crew wore protective masks while working in the hot shop—watching steel pour from the furnace was, according to the crew, mesmerizing. The town of Revda was alive with the project: crowd scenes, a celebration of the plant's anniversary at the cultural center, and participation from local groups LiS, Zvonnitsa, and the Indigo show ballet.

The project team became such close friends with the factory workers that a tradition emerged on site: every morning, they would walk around the workshop to personally greet and shake the hands of the metallurgists.
