URUMQI, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) — The Ganquanpu Economic and Technological Development Zone in Urumqi, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and the Aktobe Special Economic Zone in Kazakhstan's Aktobe region recently formally signed a framework agreement on cooperation in the field of an international cooperation park, creating a new platform for international trade and investment.

This important achievement in cooperation marks the transition of interregional cooperation between China and Kazakhstan to a new stage of practical implementation, giving a strong impetus to industrial synergy, resource sharing, openness and win-win situation between the two countries, the Ganquanpu Zone stated.
