Moscow, December 16 /Xinhua/ — A seminar dedicated to the 4th Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC Central Committee) was held at the Russian-Chinese Friendship Society in Moscow on Tuesday.

"The Fourth Plenary Session of the CPC Central Committee is undoubtedly a very important event for China. The results of this important event are also of interest to Russia as China's neighbor and strategic partner," said Kirill Barsky, Head of the Diplomacy Department at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) under the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He noted that the plenum identified important development tasks not only for the CPC, but for the entire country in the near and long term.

According to Zhao Xueying, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Russia, China does not seek modernization alone, but rather cooperation with all countries based on peaceful development, mutual benefit, and common prosperity in order to build a community with a shared future for humanity.

"Today, China and Russia share a common goal: the development and advancement of their respective countries. We are confident that both countries will continue to be guided by the important agreements reached by their leaders, uphold the spirit of good-neighborliness and friendship, strategic interaction, and mutually beneficial cooperation, so as to write a new chapter in the history of bilateral relations and make a significant contribution to building a community with a shared future for humanity," Zhao Xueying emphasized.

The 4th Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee was held in Beijing in October 2025. It adopted the CPC Central Committee's proposals for drafting the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development.
