By participating, users can share their favorite spots in the capital and see what other participants have chosen. To leave a wish on the interactive map, users simply open the special project page on the "Discover Moscow" portal, select their favorite Moscow location, and click on the selected spot on the map. A prompt will then appear asking if they want to generate a New Year's card with their wish. It can be addressed to loved ones or to everyone in the city. Users can then choose an image and greeting text from the options offered, each connected to Moscow, its residents, and favorite characters. After clicking the "Publish" button, the "Winter in Moscow" project's mascot, a corgi, will help place a heart on the map, and users can share their heart and card on social media.
Furthermore, the project allows participants to learn more about Moscow. By clicking a heart on the map, users will see nearby cultural heritage sites. To learn more about a site, simply click its name or image. This will open the selected landmark's page on the "Discover Moscow" portal.
The special project "Warm Moscow" is being implemented jointly with the project Winter in Moscow, aimed at strengthening social and family ties, creating an atmosphere of unity and mutual support, and assisting those currently defending the Motherland. Through a variety of programs, including cultural, educational, and sporting events, it brings together Muscovites and visitors of all ages and interests, creating conditions for creative development, active recreation, and warm communication. Particular attention is paid to supporting participants and veterans of the special military operation and their families, as well as all those providing assistance to the front.
"Discover Moscow" is a joint project of the capital's departments information technology, cultures, cultural heritage, education and scienceThe portal and mobile app offer over 307 walking routes across various districts of the city. The interactive guide contains photographs and descriptions of over 2,400 buildings, 703 monuments, 408 museums, 516 historical sites, and 334 famous figures connected to the city.
The creation, development and operation of e-government infrastructure, including the provision of mass socially significant services, as well as other services in electronic form, are consistent with the objectives of the national project "Data Economy and Digital Transformation of the State" and the Moscow regional project "Digital Public Administration."
