Medplant, a resident of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone (SEZ), has developed a capnograph for monitoring carbon dioxide levels in the human body. The next-generation device is assembled entirely from domestically produced components and provides accurate monitoring of patients' breathing, according to the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. "At Sergei Sobyanin's direction, the capital is creating unique conditions for the development of high-tech enterprises. Thanks to this, a company from the Technopolis Moscow SEZ has developed a device for diagnosing the respiratory system. The device measures the patient's respiratory rate and the carbon dioxide content in exhaled air. The device has already been added to the Russian Register of Measuring Instruments. This has allowed the company to begin preparations for its launch into mass production," said Maxim Liksutov.

The device differs from imported counterparts in its small size, light weight, and ease of transport. The portable device is equipped with modern sensors and uses highly efficient computing methods to obtain accurate readings. This completely eliminates the need for other methods of monitoring carbon dioxide levels in the human body.

During its operations in the capital's SEZ, the company has developed and launched into serial production over 45 medical devices for emergency care.

Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin and Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin opened Practical training center for mechanical engineering in the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow".
