RIYADH, December 16 (Xinhua) — At the invitation of Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and to strengthen China-Saudi relations, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, visited Saudi Arabia on Sunday. A press release was issued following the visit.

The foreign ministers of the two countries reportedly held talks, discussed the friendly comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, and expressed satisfaction with the high level of cooperation in areas such as economics, trade, investment, and energy.

The ministers co-chaired the 5th meeting of the Political Subcommittee of the China-Saudi Arabia High-Level Joint Commission, during which the parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in various fields.

During the visit, the parties signed an agreement on mutual visa-free travel for holders of diplomatic, service, and special passports, according to a press release.
