AMMAN, December 16 (Xinhua) — At the invitation of Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, visited Jordan on December 14-15.

Both sides emphasized their willingness to strengthen cooperation to bring tangible benefits to the friendly peoples of both countries. They praised bilateral cooperation in various fields, reaffirmed their commitment to continued dialogue and coordination, and pledged to expand cooperation to achieve the development policy goals of both countries.

The parties discussed deepening cooperation in traditional areas such as trade and economics, infrastructure, energy, defense, transportation, and the judicial sector, as well as exploring the potential for cooperation in new areas, including scientific and technological innovation, communications technology, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and green energy.
