BEIJING, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) — The 19th session of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress (NPC) will be held in Beijing from Dec. 22 to 27.
The corresponding decision was made on Monday at the 56th meeting of the chairman and vice-chairmen of the 14th NPC Standing Committee, chaired by NPC Standing Committee Chairman Zhao Leji.
According to the proposed agenda for the session, the draft law on childcare services and the draft law on activities and environmental protection in Antarctica will be submitted for consideration for the first time.
In addition, the session will consider draft environmental codes, laws on promoting interethnic cohesion, laws on national development planning, and amendments to the Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China.
Legislators will also consider a draft resolution on holding the 4th session of the 14th National People's Congress, a report on eliminating problems identified as a result of the audit of the execution of the central budget and other budget revenues and expenditures for 2024, reports on the powers of individual deputies and on personnel changes. –0–
