SUVA, December 15 (Xinhua) — Fiji Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka strongly condemned the deadly terrorist attack that occurred during Hanukkah celebrations at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia.

NSW Police say 16 people, including one of the attackers, were killed in the shooting.

S. Rabuka expressed condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, the Fiji Broadcasting Corporation reported on Monday.

He reportedly reiterated the need for zero tolerance for terrorism, hatred, violence and all forms of inhumane acts, and contacted Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to express Fiji's solidarity and support for the people of Australia and the Jewish communities affected by the tragedy.
