Kyiv, December 15 (Xinhua) — By the end of the day, Ukrainian and US delegations in Berlin may reach agreements that will bring peace closer. This statement was made Monday on social media by Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine.

R. Umerov called the negotiations, which have been ongoing for the second day, constructive and noted that the parties were able to achieve “real progress.”

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council added that the American delegation, led by US President Donald Trump's special envoy Stephen Witkoff and the White House chief's son-in-law Jared Kushner, is working extremely constructively to help Ukraine find a path to a lasting peace agreement.
