Hanoi, December 15 (Xinhua) — Vietnamese Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung expressed concern over developments on the Thai-Cambodian border during talks with his Thai counterpart Sikhasak Phuangketkeu in Thailand on Sunday, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
Le Hoai Trung reportedly called on the parties to exercise restraint, avoid escalation and resolve differences peacefully through dialogue and in accordance with international law and existing regional agreements and mechanisms.
Vietnam is ready to coordinate its activities with other ASEAN countries, including Thailand, to actively contribute to collective efforts to achieve long-term regional stability, he said.
