Beijing, December 13 (Xinhua) — China will introduce licensing for certain types of steel products starting January 1, 2026, to manage the export of goods in this category, according to a statement released recently by the Ministry of Commerce and the General Administration of Customs (GAC).
Based on relevant laws and regulations, the Ministry of Commerce and the Main Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China decided to amend the "List of Goods Covered by Export Licenses" and include some types of steel products in this document.
The announcement also notes that participants in foreign trade activities must apply for export licenses to supply such products. When submitting an application, they will be required to provide an export contract and a product quality inspection certificate issued by the manufacturer. -0-
