Abu Dhabi, December 13 (Xinhua) — China is ready to maintain high-level exchanges with the United Arab Emirates, deepen strategic mutual trust, implement the important agreements reached by the two heads of state, and advance cooperation in all areas to elevate the bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership to new heights, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Saturday.

During a meeting with Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, UAE Presidential Special Envoy for Chinese Affairs, Wang Yi emphasized that China is a reliable and trustworthy long-term strategic partner of the UAE, adding that the friendship and mutual trust between the leaders of the two countries serve as the most important political guarantee for the development of relations between China and the UAE.

Wang Yi, also a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, noted that the development of relations between China and the UAE reflects China's commitment to the principle of equality for all countries, regardless of their size, as well as its support for developing countries.

He noted that the rise and strengthening of China represents the expansion of the forces of world peace, the increase in the power of the Global South, and the strengthening of factors of stability throughout the world.

Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, in turn, stated that China is an important strategic partner for the UAE, adding that the deep friendship between the two heads of state is a valuable asset to bilateral relations. He emphasized that developing relations with China is one of the country's top foreign policy priorities.

According to the special envoy, the UAE has full confidence in China's future development and always views its relations with China from a long-term perspective.

Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak added that the UAE is willing to further strengthen high-level exchanges with China, learn from China's experience in public administration, and expand cooperation with it in areas such as economics, trade, investment, energy, science and technology, to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
