BEIJING, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) — While dialogue between China and the European Union (EU) on trade defense measures continues, the EU's isolated consultations with individual Chinese enterprises risk harming mutual trust and the effectiveness of overall progress, Chinese Ministry of Commerce spokesperson He Yadong said on Thursday.
He Yadong said the two sides held a dialogue on trade protection measures earlier this week and that consultations would continue next week.
China welcomes the EU's decision to resume consultations on price commitments and commends its return to the path of resolving differences through dialogue, he said.
He Yadong emphasized that the China Chamber of Commerce for the Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products, acting on behalf of various Chinese enterprises, proposed a solution that reflects the collective position of the industry.
