Since 2024, residents of the Arbat district have been implementing the "Humanitarian-91" project, aimed at assisting medical institutions in the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) and the Kursk region. The latest shipment was sent in December. It includes medical equipment, medications, and consumables for the therapy department—more than four thousand items in total.

School of Goodness

The shipments are supported by the Russian Ministry of Defense, as well as military volunteers and parents of students from School No. 91, where the project operates. More than 70 school staff, parents, and high school students are assisting.

Volunteers have already organized 10 large-scale fundraising drives and sent numerous items to hospitals in the LPR and Kursk region, essential for the treatment and recovery of soldiers. These include resuscitation tables, medical chairs, shelving, and much more. The shipments also include warm clothing, tableware, and household appliances—items that help create a comfortable environment in hospitals that facilitates recovery.

Volunteers support not only military personnel but also medical staff working under intense pressure. For example, hospitals have received microwave ovens and other essential supplies for work and rest.

How it all began

The idea for the "Humanitarian-91" project came from Maxim Gudkov, a public advisor for the Arbat district and deputy director for socialization, education, and student safety at School No. 91. When Maxim's classmate was hospitalized in Luhansk, he contacted the medical staff and asked how he could help.

"That's how the idea for direct, targeted assistance was born—from us directly to our advocates. Our school supported the initiative: Principal Natalia Krasavina, teachers, parents, and senior students. 'Gumanitarka-91' is our collective, albeit modest, effort to achieve victory," said Maxim Gudkov.

How to join

The aid collection point is located at School No. 91, located at 14 Povarskaya Street. Those wishing to participate in the project should contact the Arbat District Administration in advance at 7 499 795-12-33. Staff will provide all necessary information about current needs, the rules for accepting donated aid, and assist with its transportation.
