BEIJING, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) — China's foreign trade has shown steady growth and strong vitality this year despite a complex and harsh external environment, the Ministry of Commerce said Thursday.

From January to November, China's total export and import volume reached 41.21 trillion yuan (about 5.83 billion US dollars), an increase of 3.6 percent compared with the same period in 2024.

"China's foreign trade will overcome all difficulties and continue to provide sustainable support for the development of the global economy and trade," a spokesman for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said at a press conference.

He further noted that the Ministry of Commerce is ready to coordinate local authorities and interested agencies to implement policy measures to stabilize foreign trade and promote market diversification.

Efforts will be made to promote the balanced development of imports and exports and support new trade models such as cross-border e-commerce and overseas warehousing, he concluded. -0-
