Kabul, December 11 (Xinhua) — The Afghan Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation signed a memorandum of understanding with a Norwegian international humanitarian organization to support refugees and internally displaced families, the ministry announced on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the agreement will allocate over $310,000 to support 2,231 people in the northern province of Faryab. The funding will be used to provide medical services and other essential social assistance.
Additionally, on Wednesday, the Afghan National Disaster Management Authority signed a $462,000 agreement with a local humanitarian organization. The initiative aims to raise awareness about disaster risk management among residents of the eastern Paktika province.
