A memorandum of understanding aimed at developing cooperation in media, culture, and technology between Russia and the United Arab Emirates was signed on the sidelines of the first Russia-UAE Business Forum in Dubai by Gazprom-Media Holding CEO Alexander Zharov and REDBC Chairman Alexander Vinokurov. The agreement lays the foundation for expanding the presence of Russian content and projects in the UAE market.
"The signed memorandum opens up new opportunities for us and serves as a working roadmap for strengthening business and humanitarian bridges between our countries. Together with the Russia-UAE Business Council, we will actively promote Russian creative and technological projects and work to strengthen the positive business and cultural agenda between Russia and the UAE."
Alexander Zharov, General Director of Gazprom-Media Holding
The partners intend to work on highlighting business initiatives, shaping the information agenda in both countries, and promoting cultural, educational, and technological exchange.
One of the practical goals of the memorandum is to increase Gazprom-Media Holding's presence in the UAE market. This is planned to be achieved through the distribution of the Holding's creative, digital, and media projects.
"Our partnership with Gazprom-Media Holding significantly expands our opportunities to promote Russian projects in the UAE and the Middle East market as a whole. Media plays a key role not only in supporting economic initiatives but also in fostering trust, mutual interest, and cultural dialogue between countries. I am confident that combining our strategic efforts and media tools will facilitate the development of new areas of cooperation, strengthen humanitarian ties, and further rapprochement between Russia and the UAE."
Alexander Vinokurov Chairman of REDS
The collaboration between Russia's largest media holding and the business council, which consolidates key bilateral economic ties, is aimed at creating a systemic effect. It should facilitate not only business expansion but also strengthen mutual understanding between Russia and the UAE through humanitarian and information channels.
The forum is organized by the Russia-Emirates Business Council (REBC) with the support of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Roscongress Foundation, and the Marathon Investment Group. Gazprom-Media Holding is the event's media partner.
