Opening the ceremony, Tatyana Golikova read a greeting from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"Supporting the defenders of the Fatherland is our absolute moral duty, a task for the state and society to work together in partnership. It is therefore gratifying that this meeting brought together at the National Center 'Russia' participants and veterans of the special military operation, their families and friends, government representatives, non-profit organizations, business and expert circles, and media from many regions of the country," the President's address reads.

Tatyana Golikova also addressed the participants. She recalled that the day before, the country celebrated Heroes of the Fatherland Day, and in the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin awarded state awards to veterans of the SVO.

"The Russian government and regional authorities are doing everything possible to ensure a comfortable return to civilian life for special military operation participants. This is a new life for you. We understand this well, which is why all government agencies, including the 'Defenders of the Fatherland' Foundation, are doing everything possible to take into account the challenges each veteran faces. This is important to us. I am confident that at the forum, you will discuss these issues and develop solutions that we can implement at various levels of government," said Tatyana Golikova. "Your participation in the upbringing of the younger generation is important to us. You instill in our young generation the skills of loyalty and service to their country. I would like to especially thank the families. You are our hope and support."

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the veterans of the SVO for their work and wished them success.
