City services specialists have developed two modern sports facilities in the southeast of the capital. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing, Utilities, and Public Works. Petr Biryukov.
"As part of improvement projects this year, two large sports clusters were created in the South-Eastern Administrative District of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The new spaces allow local residents of all ages and levels of fitness to exercise outdoors, and also provide areas for quiet relaxation," noted Pyotr Biryukov.
The first sports area has opened on the site of a former vacant lot opposite Building 2, Bldg. 49 on Ryazansky Prospekt. Active recreation enthusiasts can now play volleyball and padel tennis there, and in winter, the multifunctional space will be transformed into an artificial ice rink for skating and hockey. A workout area has also been created, and trees and shrubs have been planted.
A second sports cluster was established near building 8 on Nizhnyaya Khokhlovka Street. It includes a streetball court, a padel court, a workout area with exercise equipment, and a gymnastics complex. A skate park was also built, an all-season rink for team sports was installed, and a children's play area was created.
All parts of the new sports cluster are connected by convenient paths, along which energy-efficient streetlights and gazebos with benches are placed.
Work to create a comfortable urban environment is ongoing. Last year, a sports complex with a hockey rink, outdoor exercise equipment, workout facilities, a skateboard park, and a pump park opened on Okskaya Street in the South-Eastern Administrative District.
