SEOUL, December 9 (Xinhua) — Two people were injured in a fire following an explosion at a power plant in southwestern South Korea, the Renhap News Agency reported on Tuesday.

At around 2:43 p.m. local time, the fire department received a report of a fire and a loud explosion at a power plant in Taean County, Chungcheongnam-do, located 150 kilometers southwest of Seoul.
