BEIJING, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) — China has called on Cambodia and Thailand to exercise restraint to prevent further escalation of the border situation, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a regular ministry press conference on Tuesday.
He made the call following the recent border conflict between Cambodia and Thailand.
According to the diplomat, China, as a friend and close neighbor of both Cambodia and Thailand, sincerely hopes that both sides will move towards each other.
