Moscow has developed a methodology for assessing the knowledge and skills of IT specialists. With the help of the new Moscow-based service Career in IT On the i.moscow platform, job seekers can confirm their qualifications, and companies can check the competencies of candidates for vacancies. This was reported Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.

"The assessment is conducted in a testing format. Each area includes over 100 questions, including theoretical and practical sections. Currently, the program covers 40 specializations, from mobile app developers to digital product designers. This list will be expanded in the future," explained Natalia Sergunina.

Upon completion of the test, the user will receive detailed statistics showing the points earned for each competency, as well as a certificate indicating their qualification level. This document is valid for two years.

The effectiveness of the methodology has already been recognized by more than 30 large domestic companies.

Next year, the service's functionality will be expanded. For example, computer coding assignments will be added, as well as case studies that test understanding industry-specific business challenges.

On average, the test takes about 120 minutes to complete. Anyone can try their hand at it.

According to statistics from the capital's voluntary qualification exam, digital professions remain among the most in-demand, accounting for a third of all tests. The "Career in IT" project was created to support this demand and provide Muscovites with a tool for effectively assessing their professional level.
